2011年3月11日に発生した地震と津波により東北・関東地方で甚大な被害が発生しましたことは世界中の人々に強い衝撃を与えています。日本の方々、特に犠牲になられた方々、また被災された皆様に心からお見舞い申し上げます。
国連地域開発センターは他の国連その他の関係機関と連携の上、これまでの経験と智恵を今後の復旧・復興、そして災害に強いまちづくりに向けて、出来る限りの支援と協力を行いたいと考えています。

Message for the Tohoku Pacific Offshore Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

UNCRD representing the UN Department for Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) would like to offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the people of Japan, especially those who have been affected, in the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes and tsunami that hit Tohoku and Kanto areas (northeastern part of Japan) on 11 March 2011.
United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), together with members of the UN system, stands ready to assist the affected areas with our expertise for reconstruction, rehabilitation, and further building of resilient cities and communities.
